With a tad bit of pulling and stretching and one easy “dark foil” filter you get a totally different look than the original and the straight colour version.

The original drawing is pen and black ink on basic sketch paper then digitally enhanced. The same pencil on canvas filter used to enhance the drawing was also used to create the border and frame. A touch of gold is added to the first frame layer. The border is solid black with pencil on canvas texture.

This detailed view shows a painting with weathered edges against black matting.
detailed view 2 shows a chaotic crown above the figures head

and detail three shows the puddle she stands in as well as a closer view of the border.

Face It in colour doesn’t have the same feel as the black and white but I still like it.

Both versions are great. Th egood thing about digital is that you get to keep the b&w as well, as the original
Thanks Yolanda,
I’ve really come to enjoy changing colours digitally. Painting digitally also gives the advantage of NO CLEAN UP. There are no paint brushes to clean, no surfaces to protect, no clothes jacked up with burnt umber or crimson stains. Digital art certainly has its advantages
Thanks for dropping by,
