An email has been sent to the address provided requesting immediate removal of my copyright protected painting.
As explained in my email -

Yes, my copyright is strict but it must be for protection of work I spend a lot of time to create.
As explained in my email, my website is public domain but the work is not. Consider it as if you went to a museum. The museum allows public access but you cannot take paintings at will.

Thank you in advance for complying with the copyright laws.

Sincerely,
F. Magdalene Austin

To F. Magdalene: I was much impressed with your painting, Good As Gold. It's a beautiful piece, to say the least. I put it on my website to enhance something I wrote about somebody I respect very much. But then I found your "copyright update." It's kinda scary. I suppose this protection of your very fine art ought to be addressed. I usually assume the "creative commons" principle ~ which I believe is something like, "Go ahead and use it but give credit where credit is due, when possible. And never take credit for somebody else's work." Observing this principle, I figure everybody benefits and the Creative Commons lives on. Obviously you don't feel the same way as I do. I think I'm going to leave your piece of art on my website for a few days and see where this goes. Perhaps you can have my whole website, which represents quite a bit of work, shut-down. I don't know. I'm only so so versed in such legalities. Hopefully, you can reach the website via the website address that I left you, view it and think all is well. Or perhaps you'll want some money. I have no money. That's why I use a free website builder. I also left my e-mail in your convenient "Leave a Reply" window. So, if you want, you can contact me. If you wish not to have "Good as Gold" on the "Going to Prescott" site (chapter 4), please let me know and I'll take it off immediately as possible. You do beautiful work. And I wish you well. Yours truly ~ Cloyd Campfire.
