This is the sister painting to Night Hold.
The close up view shows rays of chaotic color held back by light. Her hand also pushes it back while the other reaches for what she needs and longs for.
The child is not afraid, she’s been waiting for her shining light to come. It’s not an end nor is it somewhere far away. She walks into hope right here, right now on the earth we know.
