Charlene Dolls

Charlene Doll

Who is Charlene? Charlene is a little girl in Oregon who is very special to me. She’s so special that I believe she deserves a line of dolls dedicated to her.

The very first doll in this line is an African-American rag doll who stands 28 inches. She’s wearing a cream colored cotton dress with a pink ribbon and pink rose. She has matching bloomers, white socks and black patented “leather” shoes. You will also notice she’s got little sunflower earrings.

New Endeavors - Small Paintings and Crafts

These are my newest endeavor - small paintings on 3 x 5 plywood, also known as craft wood. One is an abstract with 2 faces looking forward, a profile face and a full body profile on a brightly colored orange and red background. The second is a face painted with an exaggerated tear drop. It’s main colors are blue and green. It’s accented with a small multi-colored checkerboard on the cheek and just below the right eye. The face fades into the background in some ares and nearly jumps off it’s canvas in others. The last two shown in the picture are simple flowers with a glitter glue center. The first flower has a background done in metallic copper acrylic paint. The stem is lime colored green with periwinkle blue grass reaching around it. It’s center is a ring of gold glitter glue with a dot of purple glitter glue. The second flower has a multi-colored background wash of orange, red and yellow. It’s center is gold glitter glue with a blue glitter glue dot.
