Lake-a Gray Girl Update

11:23 AM

I talked to Slave Girl around 2:30 AM. I could barely talk I was crying so hard. Little Gray was seizing every few minutes and her jaws were shaking so hard and stiff that I knew she had to be in pain. Her eyes were dilated beyond belief. I kept the lights low so that it wouldn’t add to her pain. I talked to Mic for a few minutes also. His 83 year old father is in the hospital with pneumonia. He was dead tired and on his way back to his fathers house. This man is going to have to stop sometime, somewhere. He says he’s coming by here today. I can make something for him to eat because I know full well he doesn’t have time to stop and eat anything. I can do that much for him. And heck, I’m a trained Chef. I can whip up something good for him. Ah, he loves stake fries. That’ll be something he loves. Oh, and he likes bread pudding. I’d better start on that. So, the kitten was seizing and twitching uncontrollably. Mic said to feed her water through a plastic syringe that I have. I gave her water every 5 min. At first she didn’t want it but I had to do it so I just gave her a few drops at a time and waited for her to be too tired to fight me on it. Well, when I talked to Slave Girl she said to me, “Let’s hope for a miracle.” I replied, “I could use one.” The doctor said later, “She’s not going to make it through the night.” I talked to them a few times and they told me not to get my hopes up because she wouldn’t make it through the night and if she did she would die shortly after. So, I put her on my stomach and relaxed with her. We were awake with her until around 6:30 AM. I fell asleep with her on my belly. When I woke up around 9:30 AM she wasn’t on my stomach anymore. I was frantic because I thought maybe I rolled on her or something. I’m too fat for that. If nothing else would kill her I certainly would rollin’ on her. I got up to look for her. I didn’t have to look very far. She was curled up close to Captain. He was licking her head. That’s my boy! THAT IS MY BOY!!! Damn he’s good! I have no idea how she got over there from on the bed to on the floor across the room with Captain but that is where she was. I smiled so big because man he just doesn’t seem to stop. Last night he scared her so bad when he went to check on her. He knew he scared her so he kept his distance but this morning he had her close to him and licked her little head. It was too cute and so typical of what Captain does for me.

I can’t say if Lake-a Gray Girl will make it or not. What I can say is, this morning she used the litter box on her own. She lapped water on her own and she stood up on her own without falling over. Right now she’s under my feet as I type this update. Cappy’s nose is right at hers. I suppose that’s where his nose will be when I’m cooking for Mic.

Until again,
