In some countries the day was sacred to Brigid, the triple goddess of poetry, smithcraft... and healing. For some Pagans, it's a day of dedication. "This is what I will do. This is what I will be." It's interesting to me that you liberated yourself on that particular day. Whatever the day, I'm glad you did it.
