There is a site called Lavender Power. It’s meant to bring survivors together for empowerment. Well, when browsing on the MySpace version of that site I found a page called Help Wanted. It’s about a little child that needed help with an abuser but no one was listening so she put up a help wanted sign. Someone came to inquire about the sign and there started the stream of people willing to help the abused child.
I really like this. I like the resourcefulness of the little girl. If people aren’t coming to her one way she’ll find another. It says people will listen and that there is power in numbers. This is a top notch story.
This is an inspirational story, a must read. If you want to leave a comment you unfortunately HAVE to have a MySpace account.

Thank you Austin for your positive Feedback to my Poem “Help Wanted”. I am so glad you you were able to read the message that I was trying to express. It means a lot to me, a survivor of Sexual Abuse, to be heard even though I am now almost 43 years old. If we are not heard then many more will be abused. It is important that we Break the Cycle and think of the next generation that will be affected if the abuser is not stopped.
