They say the year 2007 is the year of the re-call. Dole started us off and Mattel ended it for us. Right in the middle was the whole fiasco where Menu Foods knowingly put our pets in danger and Wal-Mart with prior knowledge of the tainted food put Special Kitty on sale. We won’t even go into the flip flops that caused chemical burns or the numerous other immoral business practices they’ve taken on as policy. Nope, let’s not think about that. Let’s think about what might have come from these everyday threats. Prayer. I bet you anything 2007 can be said to be the year of The Recall Prayer. Yes, it takes tragedy and fear to bring many to God but hey, if that’s what it takes to get families to pray then so be it.
I’m sure many families prayed after hearing of the latest recall. I bet all kinds of people changed lunch plans but there is one fool out there who will refuse to change the menu and will go ahead and serve cold cuts with three bean botulism salad purchased at our fine Kroger grocer. They will eat but not before speaking to our Lord and King,
“Dear Lord, thank you for the food we are about to eat. Please save us from recalls and the big companies that cover them up. Amen.”
It takes what it takes to bring people closer to God.
Not Dinner As Usual

Down here in Florida-I know these old black men,old men. They do not know each other.
Both of them said a very simular thing to me-they said the grocery stores were killing us.
These two old guys-both easily in thier 80’s-have the most powerful handshakes you could find in a man as old as these two…very firm grips that show the strength these men once had.
Both of these men told me simular stories-they said when they were raising families-and when they were being raised-they had small gardens outside the kitchen door-growing organic and tightly controled vegitable gardens.
They said there was always fat hens running around the yard-and they kept rabbits.
They said they had never seen doctors-not until lately.
The small town I live nearest to was once a watermelon growing area-in season the big trucks crowded this one lot waiting for the field trucks to come load them-watermelon was everywhere. I’ve known people who have made thier only living by watermelons-many hired to glean the fields after the highway trucks have left.
We have’nt seen a melon truck here in four or five years.
You guessed it-our watermelons come from CHINA…shipped to Florida to Ft.Lauderdale and loaded into watermelon trucks that all pass through Florida on thier way to the homes that once bought these melons from Florida farms.
It is pretty bad when you pick up a Florida tourism advert and they offer a bus ride to the Port of Lauderdale to watch the fruits and vegitables being unloaded for shipping across the USA.
It be the other way around.
And…these ships carry Dole as a lable.
Those are just watermelons-a stupid green fruit thats only good on a summer night-all your pal’s come over for a huge slice…that is just a watermelon.
We are trusting everything to come from CHINA…no wonder they are buying up our banks to keep the money we give them-safely.
I remember when the lone Chinese guy stood in front of the army tank in the square in CHINA…the army came out against its own people…army tanks and soldiers-they were going to kill these people, thier own citizens….Chinese folk.
No one knows what happened to the lone Chinese man who stood in defience of these tanks.
The same people we have come to trust to let them grow our food…that we supposedly ask GOD to bless, and yet it is grown by the people who do not believe in God.
Last month the news said our dependence on China to raise our food has doubled-an increase of nearly 40% from last year…
Sadly,I mentioned this event to my son-he is almost 37…he does not remember that incident.
How can one explain we are being fed and spending money by a nation who hates us…??
How can one explain that we are relying on people who we were taught were evil…just like the people of Iraq.
That is another channel.
