I’ve searched high and low for my copy of Microsoft Word Office Suite 2003 but it’s no where to be found. As I rustled through the office I found several items I’d given up on finding. Those are material things, stuff that doesn’t really keep me going but sure make life a bit more enjoyable. But today, I found something, gained something I haven’t had in quite sometime, maybe ten years or more. When I went to see my psychiatrist I saw a friend who works at the information desk. She came from around the desk to greet Captain and me. She wrapped her arms around me, hugged me and told me she loves me. It’s been too long since someone did that.
Lost - 1 Microsoft disk
Lost - 1 green converse tennis shoe
Found - 1 turquoise stone ring (my favorite)
Found - that someone cares enough to give me a hug and tell me they love me. Thank you. I really needed it.
When talking to the pdoc he told me that he doesn’t have grounds to send me to the hospital but that it’s still within my best interest to go in. I told him I’m not going yet.
Lost- a lot of sleep
Lost - a lot of energy and drive
Found- a pdoc that’ll give me a chance to get better without demanding I go in, without calling the cops on me and dragging me from his office to the hospital via court order.
Found- time, a little more time to get myself together so I don’t have to go in.

There’s nothing like reconnecting with an old friend. I’m so glad you got that hug!
Hope you find the disk you need. I know what that’s like: when everyone moved after Tim’s accident, a lot of my stuff turned up missing. I think it accidentally took a trip to the dump, or Goodwill.
I’m so glad you found that ring and that friend with the great hug! I’m also glad you have someone treating you like an adult who can make her own decision about the hospital. I hate the hospital! I think it would be a very rare facility that was actually a healing place.
I see her from time to time and we have email contact, it’s the hug with an I love you that I haven’t had in 10 years or longer. It was quite nice.
Thanks everyone for your comments and support. It’s meant a lot to me, especially now when things have gotten so hard.
Austin
Let me know if you don’t find your Microsoft Office Suite. I have a set of discs I can send you. Take care of yourself and accept my long distance hug! Carmon
