This was drawn earlier today after this lady told me that little girls are bad and she’d rather raise a boy any day. Of course that didn’t settle well with me because in my family it was little boys I was told are bad and men are worse than boys. I strongly believe, and I told her so, that when you make a distinction like good and bad and put a gender to it you’ll treat the two genders differently. I could tell when I said it she thought about it. At least she thought about it. She even went as far as to tell me she has sons and she has 2 daughters but she hopes the two girls grow up to be lesbian. I replied, “You’re not right.” I paid for my stuff and left.
Boys and girls, they’re huggable and lovable and should be treated equally. No gender distinction should ever be made like good and bad or between love and protection.

Wow. I’m speechless.
That woman has problems. It’s a shame that her children are going to bear out those problems in their lives. Whatever else one may think of the Christian bible, it’s very true that the “sins of the fathers are visited on the sons.” And those of the mothers on the daughters too.
It’s sad to hear that. A friend once told me that the incredible thing about me is that I never stopped trying to find love. I never stopped trusting men completely. I guess that part of me is stronger than I know.
