I’ve run across these images and the slideshows of these children so much. I’ve been quiet about this long enough. When I look at these children I see deep, deep sadness. When I look at the poses the photographer puts the little girl in I see a child posed in a sexualized way. You see the little boy with scars on his face, hopefully mock injuries but offensive non-the less. He too is in objectionable poses. These images are not beautiful, they’re disturbing. My God the little girl has what looks like blood photoshopped in on her chest and face. Who does this to their own child?
There is a difference between a photograph of a beautiful child and a seductively posed child. These are seductive not innocent and childlike as she claims. It angers me beyond belief to see these images and it’s about damn time I said it.

I always found photos of Jon-Benet Ramsey disturbing for those reasons. Trying to make her look like she was 20 years old. There was something very, very wrong in that child’s life, but I won’t go into big speculations on that now.
No need to speculate at all, we know J-B was abused.

Makes everything in my body want to scream!! Those beauty shows are something else all together, but I believe teaches the wrong values and can be abusive. So, many disturbing things in this world, but child abuse is the most disturbing and I think it would be even if I did not experience it.
This is the first time I’ve seen this photographer’s work. I have to agree with the consensus: these photos are disturbing and sick. Ugh.

I have to agree. These photos are deeply disturbing to me. I simply couldn’t view them all; they bothered me too much. I don’t see the difference between these and all of the child models/pageant stuff.
Makes me upset.
