This is Ladybird and she’ll stay with me for about a month. She’s a 9 month old Lab mix wrapped in a warm furry coat. Talk about being on time, I needed another cold nose in my life. Just look at that face. Doesn’t it say, “Love me.” It makes me want to stick my lip out and pout every time I look at her. Sweet, sweet, sweet.
She still has all 5 of her back toes, very good teeth and a wonderful disposition. I’m not a fan of female dogs. I know… not a fan of little dogs or girl dogs but hey, I hear the little ones are just trying to make their wee way in a big heavy footed world. My view of them might be changing…. anyway, this little girl is sweetness, I mean sweetness. She’s about 35 pounds right now but I expect her to get larger.

I’ve been working with this company for over a year now. I’ve had I think 7 of their dogs. Here’s one pup laying with Captain. I’m holding his brother in the photo of me on my about me page. They’re a good group to work with. The last two dogs I had were elderly and one had to be put down but the other lives a few houses over. I get to see her a lot.
I don’t like the idea of getting in over my head. Even though S.A.Pet gives food and medical care while I temporarily house the dog there’s still a lot of energy needed which is why I only accepted Ladybird and not Ladybird AND Anjah. Anjah is a full blooded 6 month old German Shepard pup that requires more than I can offer. So I went ahead and took in Ladybird who is young but mild. She slept through the night with no accidents, not even of the chewing kind. Anjah had some issues too that I wasn’t able to deal with so she is with another family. So far so wonderful with Ladybird. She’s doing well. We’re going for our first car ride together. I’m supposed to leave the house daily so she and I are going to go out for a bit.

She’s adorable! She looks like she has some beagle in her. My dog is a beagle mix and is simply wonderful.
What a little beauty she is! I know one dog never replaces another one, but I don’t ever plan to be without a dog for long. A dog’s love has magical healing qualities. I’m glad you reached out to bring puppy breath and popcorn-scented feet back into your home.

You were on my mind the whole time Gustave was jacking stuff up over your way. I’m glad you’re okay. I know one person in Florida too and worried about him. Not a good situation down there at all.
