I passed this bear up three weeks in a row at my local thrift store because he cost a bit more than I had. The other day at they had a half off sale and I got to bring him home. I guarded the cart like a mama bear with a cub.
Gus and Bella like him too. Gus wants to sniff him, Bella thinks the $5.00 bear was a present just for her. I’ve got news for Bell, Bernhardt is mine, mine, mine.
Yes, the bear’s name is Bernhardt. (insert happy clap here)
Bernhardt and Joy are here.

we have a bear fanatic here and when she saw this picture she was all GET NOW! lol. Had one similar that doggie Graycee decided was hers (bear as big as graycee). Poor bear is now called booboo bear due to having its stuffings knocked out and its numereous holes covered with duct tape. took our kermie frog bear to england a couple of months ago. he was pleased to meet and bring home duncan guard bear! bears! love em! thanks for showing us this cutie.
I seem to be a bear fanatic these days… and a doll fanatic
I saw this guy for three weeks and wanted him. I figured I could give five bucks for him.
Fortunately Gus doesn’t chew so this guy won’t have a bunch of booboos on him so he’ll get to keep his name. I usually don’t name my personal dolls or bears but I was asked several times so I had to come up with something.
…of course now that I said he’s not a chewer I’ll come home to Bernhardt’s slobber filled stuffing all over the living room. LOL
Our three year old (insider) names all her bears and recalls their names easily. She must have about 50 now but mostly they are very small. Some of the names are just plain weird but my favorite was the name/s picked for a trio of lookalike but differnt colored bears–Winnie The Pooh. The was her favorite lol.
Heres to hoping Gus doesnt like the smell of stuffing!
