Dream: Making Space and Surviving Pt1

The house in the dream was the one from the 4th grade, not a picnic let me tell ya. In the dream the house was on wheels but parked in the parking lot of where my mother use to work. Before I went inside the house to help everyone (the house was packed) I began to lay Bibles by each window so that people could see the persons who lived in that house were Christian and should not be considered a threat to them. After laying them around I went inside and began looking around the house. We still had all our stuff packed in boxes and bags which were piled high to the ceiling in some areas. As I looked around things began to disappear. I’d look to the left then the right, then back to the left. What was once there was gone so I moved boxes in that area to make more room for people to stand. I was trying to shift everything to one side so that we could free up the other as living quarters. Things kept disappearing so I kept moving and making it more comfortable for everyone.

The place was packed with people. Everyone stood really, really close to one another. There were adults and children, male and female packed from end to end in the house. Some held babies and some stood beside teens and younger ones. As I rearranged the boxes they could spread out a little more and be a little more comfortable. My mother watched me rearrange things. I barked orders at my sister who helped. The people didn’t, they just filled up spaces I created them.

At one point I moved a bookcase with an empty green vase to the corner of the dining room. At first the bookshelf was full but when I moved it there was nothing on it. The vase remained empty. I sat the bookshelf in the corner unsteady with the vase sitting precariously on top. I thought to myself that I didn’t want to lose the vase yet I left it there almost in hopes that it would get knocked over. I left the bookcase and the vase in the farthest corner of the dining room where there were no people, just a small amount of light which left a pink glow about the area. As I walked from that area my mother put her hands on her hips and said, “Now this is starting to look like a home.” I didn’t respond.

From there I walked into the kitchen which was nearly spotless. The first thing I saw as a moth flying in an open empty cabinet. It then flew into an empty cereal box which was on it’s side. The moth was obviously sick. It flew around just a tiny bit then fell on it’s back and died. At that point I turned around to see my mother watching what I thought were 3 mice dying in the same mouse trap. I thought the trap just kept catching mice even though it had several but it ended up being a jumping frog. The frog was nearly transparent. On closer observation I could see veins and organs. I was grossed out and kinda freaked so I turned to leave which is when I saw a dead snake (gray coloring) in yet another mouse trap. I ran from the kitchen but my mother called me back. The snake turned into a live fish which my mother tossed into the trash can alive. I woke up from there.
