Your Face On TV

Dear Family Member,

I am utterly humiliated that I saw your face on television arrested for such dangerous behavior. I am sickened by the comments I see on Facebook and in the newspaper about what should be done to you. You should go to jail. You should lose your job. You should be stripped of this, that and the other, etc, etc. I am totally appalled by your behavior and like others who have had a family member’s face put on TV wish this to. go. a-way.

In your stupidity you have embarrassed not just your place of employment but your family, your friends and their friends. You’ve got nieces and nephews, you’ve got grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren. What do you think happens when one of us goes to school or to work or even the grocery store? How do you think we feel to hear your name spat upon knowing full well we share your blood? How could you do this? I mean really? Now here’s where I’m going to get personal. Your mother raised your stupid ass from nothing. She sacrificed so much and went through so much to see her kids get somewhere then you go and slap us all in the face by messing up like this. I am sickened, truly sickened.

Every time the news comes on and you’re mentioned I cringe. Friends of mine who tell me about local news who have no idea we are related go on and on about how typical this is and how corrupt “you guys” are. For the love of Pete did you ever stop to think that one act of royal stupidity could wipe away all your accomplishments and touch the lives of so many people? Do you get it now? Your life isn’t simply your own. Your actions touch each and every person around you, especially those closest to you. Did you even think about the hundred different family members who now hide their face in shame because of YOU? Oh my God! Really? You, of all people know what you did was dead wrong and that’s what gets me the most. My God, you know better!!!!

So, thank you, thank you very much for embarrassing the hell out of each and every one of us and for managing to get your own special page on Facebook to be slammed and battered around.  I can’t even believe you. I can’t believe your career has come to this sort of end. I am ashamed! I am so ashamed of you. You stupid, stupid fuck.
