I got a beautiful box in the mail with some of the sweetest little duck stuff in it. One thing included in the box was a t-shirt that says “Popduck.” Of course I swooned over it because its red and has a little duck on it. When I looked at the size I realized there was no way my body would fit in it so I sat back and thought to myself, what can I do with this shirt? Ah, I’ve got it, I need a laundry bag. So to my sewing box I went. I grabbed a needle and red thread and began to sew the arms shut. I then trimmed the extra sleeve off and sewed up the bottom. After that I added draw strings to the neckline of the t-shirt and added a blue bow to the ducks head. This is how the t-shirt laundry bag turned out.
I think it’s adorable. (insert happy clap)
Oh, and, yes, I was triflin enough to fill it with laundry then take a photo. It is, after all, a laundry bag.
I just had to show off my new laundry bag and my new artwork. Go see, go see! What are you waiting for? Why are you still here? I finished this one today.

That is one cute duck!
Isn’t she? I flipped when I saw the shirt.
What a creative use of the duck shirt! Bet you could sell similar laundry sacks. Wish I was sewing capable.
Love duckie stuff. Our bathroom is duck themed.
Your bathroom is duck themed? I’m so jealous.
Yep, ducks everywhere! shower curtain, towels/washcloths, soap dispenser etc. bit overdo some would say but it makes us smile. We actually chose the bathroom so we could decorate it silly and sorta get away with having “childish” things around. No one would (hopefully) expect a “kid” actually did choose the decorations.
Curious (and nosy)question-do you do anything to disguise the multiple part of your life? We hide a lot of kid stuff so we don’t have to answer questions of appropriate stuff for an “adult”.
I discovered that many adult women without children who are not multiple have stuffed animals and coloring books. For our gender it is acceptable to have items that a child would have without being too looked down upon. With that said, yes, I hide a lot of my stuff in a room hardly anyone goes to but me.
The other thing I found out is this, what is obvious to me isn’t always obvious to others. To me my house screams DID but to those who don’t know, it’s a single woman’s house who has various interests. Even still, I hide some of my stuff where few outsiders are allowed to go.
I think part of our disorder includes keeping secrets. I do that in most areas of my life even when it may not be necessary.

I’m not a multiple, but I love kid stuff. For me, teaching preschool/elementary school lets me have my kid stuff around and it’s still OK.
Recently, I bought a buttload of Dr. Seuss books. Yeah, I’m going to teach with them, but they’re mostly for ME ME ME!
Glad you like the duck stuff. I love what you did with the shirt. It’s really cute.
I have been lucky to work with children most of “our” adult life which gave the little guys plenty of opportunities to play with their age appropriate toys. Have endured a few stares over the years while rolling around on the floor lol.
I got to color with a bunch of 3.5 year olds today. It was great fun. I’m just a big kid deep down inside. I think it’s because I was never really allowed to be a kid.
I envy that you could do that. I think I’d be in a corner somewhere afraid to color with some kids. I’d do better supervising than interacting with them. I would have been an emotionally distant teacher, a great headmistress though.
