I dream of lettuce

The dream is typical for me, definitely recurrent. Lately I don’t remember my dreams the way I used to. I’m not sure why but I don’t.

In the dream the school year ended and I was searching up and down the hallway for my locker. As usual I couldn’t find my locker. I searched hallway after hallway but I never found it, instead I ended up in the auditorium where there was a huge food giveaway. There were pallets of fresh vegetables, 20 lb bags of big, beautiful potatoes, heads of cabbage and lettuce. I had other food options but I asked one of the male students to hand me a bag of potatoes.

I dream of lettuce pt2

Dreammoods.com had a few interesting things to say about the particular vegetables in my dream. It said that in addition to spiritual nourishment, the veggies I chose also signify the need for approval or permission as well as caution. The symbolism for lettuce and school resonate most with me. While talking about school symbols it said that there may be a feeling of inadequacy that the dreamer is dealing with. Um, yes, that would be true. Potatoes and inadequacy

I’m struck by the words used to describe the dream symbols of potatoes and school. They used the words earthy and simple when talking about potatoes. In the dream the only vegetable I was truly interested in was a 20 lb bag of large potatoes. They were clean and beautiful, almost a spectacle they were so large and pretty.
