I nearly kept her

I’m kinda proud of my newest little ones. There’s one called ‘Love Bianca Bunches’ that I especially like. I like her darker skin, that pout and her little dimples. Bianca was hand painted then heat sealed. She’s not the type of doll you snuggle up to because she’s not super soft like her friend Lily with Lavender (shown here). Actually, neither doll is a child’s snuggle toy nor should they be purchased as such. I’ll get to that later though.

I can’t give Bianca all the attention so let me switch to Lily. Lily is special to me as well. I made her to appear slightly vintage with a soft primitive style. The doll body is soft because she was washed and brushed. Her hair, like Bianca’s is made of super soft yarn and was hand sewn. And just like Bianca, she was kept near hand dried lavender which means she’s got that scent on her for however long it lasts. I love English lavender.

I mentioned that these are not toys for children and are not snuggle toys, however, I have a small doll like these two that I take with me to therapy and to doctor appointments where my anxiety is high. The dolls don’t have any metal parts at all and will be just fine accompanying the adult patient through appointments and tests. If not used as a companion she can sit beautifully as a decorative piece in your home or office.

It’s been forever since I made a doll. I have a hard time doing them then selling them because I fall in love with them which is exactly what happened with the doll named Love Bianca Bunches. (Yes, I’m back to her.) If I kept everything I made or painted I’d be over run so, both babies are up in my Etsy shop and ready for adoption.

The following links are to the individual dolls with their entries on my art site. Lily with Lavender . Love Bianca Bunches .

Later taters,

Faith
