I was to call the apartment complex and set up a time to come in and fill out an application. I called and the lady said that the apartment they expected to come open for August isn’t going to be available. She said to call her monthly for updates so that they can get me in. I asked if it would help for me to fill out an application now but she said no because they’re only good for 30 days. There’s no need for me to pay $25 every month for an application just to have one on file when I can just as easily call and be told to come in.
There’s still hope to get into that complex. I’m not moving in August but at least I know I have good options out there for nice apartments.
It’s important for me to remember I’m not stuck.
Its important for me to accept delays in the process. It’s important not to panic during those delays. I could easily panic and start calling around places and jump into a bad situation. I need to let this settle a bit, make the calls and keep my eyes and ears open. I’ll give it time.

shame it’s not going to be available in august but very nice that they asked you to stay in touch… i know it would be nice for you to get out of the complex you are in but i think you are right… no rush, find the right place… don’t jump into something that could be worse….
