It only lasted about an hour and I was very happy to be there. What was interesting is that the speaker talked about some of the difficulties people went through to be there that evening. Tell me about it.
I was only a little dissociative, not enough to get lost. My pain level was sky high but I made it through the hour. The thing about illnesses is, no matter how much we wish them away or need them to take a break they don’t. We just push through then sleep to recover from so much pushing.
Thursday night there were cancer survivors and fighters, a woman with Crohn’s disease, Lupus, several with Fibromyalgia, the lady with ALS, and a man who came from the nursing home for the occasion. Also included in the group was a woman I swear is like 300 years old. I’ve known here since I was very little and she was old then. Betty said she knew her as a child too. I even knew the ancient one’s mother. She’s been gone for a very long time but she was like 500 or so before she died. Being dead and all, she wasn’t able to make the meeting, but her 300 year old daughter was there.
