My last day here is soon

This is wrapping up very quickly. I’d planned on being here most of the month so that  I could take more time to pack but things didn’t’ work out that way. This cute little place showed up and I jumped on it. I’m happy I did to. I only have 35 neighbors in my apartment complex. That’s it, thirty five of us, no kids. I like that. It’s rather gay friendly too. I like that as well.

I’m going to finish up packing this evening and a few friends will come over and assist with the final move. The bad news is that I won’t have internet access for quite some time. I’ll have to find a library and see if I can get some net time. I hate that. No internet sucks big time!!!!! I’ll deal with that later though. It’ll happen.

Apartment: Stuff I looked for

I didn’t just want something cute, I wanted something clean, quiet and some place I can stay for a good long time. I like the location, and the apartment itself is within my budget, but I still had questions. There were things I needed to look for and verify so that I could stay long term. After going through my own checklist of things I took one final step. I looked to see if anyone in my building is a registered sex offender. A great building with a rat in it is still a rat house. None of my immediate neighbors are rats.

Approved for an Apartment

An update is provided at the end of this entry.

I’ve been packing while looking for an apartment. Today one came in…. but…. I now need to ask for assistance with the security deposit which I need to pay on the 3rd of July. My move date is the third.

Yup, I’m going here. Hate to, but I am. I kinda need some help. If by any chance you can help with any amount of the  security deposit for my brand spanking new one bedroom apartment (which I will move to on the third) that would be a wonderful thing. Or, feel free to purchase a bit of artwork that is set to moving sale prices.

Mudpuddles

For me the rain is dreary for Lea its time to play and splash about.

The water is receading quickly, which is a shock to me, it usually stays for day. It’s about half where it was just a few short hours ago. I figure Lea had her fun but then it was time for a nice soapy bath and a nap. She’s wrapped in her blanket and tucked in her crate snoring her little heart out. She’s my favorite little wet rat.

It’s a Nissan, not and arc

The water in my yard is so high that is reaches half the tire and nearly the top of two five gallon buckets sitting under my garden table. A few more minutes of rainfall and it’ll reach the bumper as well as the seat on the picnic table.

Super huge goldfish

I got these fish from a young man who guessed their measurements at 9 inches and 6 inches. When I arrived it was clear to me that the container I brought wouldn’t hold what is actually a 12 inch fish and a 9 inch fish. His mother went outside and emptied a 5 gallon bucket so I could take them home. When the water was poured in and the fish added I saw an issue. The water was way too warm for goldfish, around 85 degrees instead of 68 to 75 max. Being that warm meant it didn’t have nearly as much oxygen as needed for the 5 min drive home. There’s gonna be trouble.

I’ll take my blessings and go

I started the day off by selling my treadmill but ended it with a sense of personal pride and strength. The sale itself was easy but since Junior was involved it got complicated.

When Isha (the man who purchased it)  called early in the day, I never expected to spend 3 hours with him. Because he doesn’t have a car he wanted me to pick him up, show him the treadmill and take him back home. Then he needed Junior to deliver the treadmill about 10 miles from our house. Of course this changed the total price, but the buyer was okay with that.
