Community Sensibilities

I am as disgusted by the behavior of humankind as anyone else. I am hurt at heart by the complete moral breakdown of families and communities across the globe. My sensibilities are rocked by the way people are able to justify their hatred for one another and destroy one another in mind numbing ways. It appears that social networking sites are fertile ground for open hatred and meanness toward men, women and children they’ve never met . I ask that you keep these thoughts in mind as I set clear boundaries of what is and is not the purpose of my website.

SUNDRIP – Art for Life

This site is and will remain free from :

  • Hate and hate speech as it relates to race, creed, nationalism, religion and politics. Note that I will express indigestion and even say I hate people who are directly connected to my abuse and the abuse of family members. The difference is politics verses personal and family dynamics.
  • Politics and political discussions will not take place here.
  • I will not link to websites that heavily concentrate on nationalism and politics. For example, I would feel uncomfortable linking to a website where half the entries explain why their political party is right but the others are wrong. Clearly people have the freedom to write as they choose on their site, but conflict on this site is not welcome nor am I willing to read it.
  • Subjects that divide have no place here. How can one determine if a subject divides people?  Phrases such as these will be used “us, them“, “ours and theirs “, ” they and we. “

I have been outspoken at times concerning some of the issues raised in this entry. Since my most outspoken moments, world events have changed so radically, so shockingly that I’ve had to take a step back and regroup. What I will do is get right back to the original purpose as stated in the first paragraph of the About page.

SUNDRIP – Art for Life is a site that expresses in every media possible an intimate look into the life of a person living with major trauma. The issues addressed in art and writing include Dissociative Identity Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Despite these issues, I intend to move forward, through and out with honor, grace and creativity.

At SUNDRIP- Art for Life you will find joyful art, sorrowful art and art created simply to pass the time. These pieces show healing in all its stages.

Again, at times the word hate and synonyms will be used, but the words and subject matter will be of a personal nature and discussed with my long term psychologist.

Please don’t hesitate to leave comments on entries and pages. I like comments.
