Hope - My Face My Art

My Face My Art – The invisible illness becomes visible.
It’s as clear as the art on my face.

The three art pieces used in this addition of “My Face My Art” are: (drum roll please)

Bruised Reed II
Bruised Reed II- available

Art Title: Bruised Reed II – The Headdress
Art by: Faith Magdalene Austin
Medium: black ink, acrylic paint, light card stock paper
Size: 4 x 7
Finish: Signed, unsealed, raw

Bruised Reed II is one of those paintings patiently waiting for the right person to come along. She has a sad look on her face which leaves her out of most art adoption inquiries. I’ve often wondered if I should go back and add white to her eyes but I decided against it because it would change what I was trying to express. Bruised Reed II is an emotive piece that is framed on my bedroom wall as she waits for a permanent home.
