I‘m still working with different types of abstract. I did this while watching a video. I like the loose colors.
I’ve also been working with my palette knives but I thought it best to work in gesso for texture then add color over it later if desired. I’ve got a full gallon on gesso which I love working with.

Funds needed for her dental work started off at $250. The need is now $159.00. Thank you for your donations and purchases that stay in PayPal until all is raised to meet her need, then I’ll stop begging. You can fully expect more intense begging as March draws near. I’m watching my baby in pain and it’s difficult. I swear that’s not a guilt trip, it’s just the truth, I’m watching this girl hurt and there’s not a darn thing I can do about it….other than paint and paint is what I’m doing.
In addition to abstract work this year I’m working with watercolor soooo, here is more abstract watercolor. I tell ya, I’m having a hard time making myself use brighter colors. I’m not sure what allowed me to use brighter colors with the hummingbird but, the other watercolor pieces I’ve done recently are deep blue and sienna with hints of white and moss green.

I have to remember that I will not force myself to do what I think is expected of me. I have been literally hounded in the past, including by a neighbor, telling me how I need to brighten up the art in my home and the colors in my home. I know many of the pieces that have been sold are super bright but, I paint according to emotion. The brighter the colors the more intense the emotion. Earth tones and deep blues are actually soothing expressions, not that of depression or anxiety as traditionally thought. When I painted this watercolor piece I was relaxed…yeah, that’s all, I was relaxed.
IÂ will keep true to my goal this year to paint without expectations. I will paint fearlessly…. I am painting fearlessly.
Love your painting.
Thank you 🙂
You are welcome.
Paint for YOU. That’s whats important. You are fearless.
